Breaking Insctructor

Odylle Beder a.k.a. "Mantis" is a Brooklyn native and proud member of the Full Circle Souljahs crew. She began her breaking journey in 2007 and has since performed on world-class stages such as Lincoln Center, shared the stage with Hip Hop legends MC Sha Rock and LL Cool J, and gained experience competing, judging, and teaching workshops across the scene.
In her classes, students build a strong foundation in breaking by learning core techniques through step-by-step progressions designed to help them grow with confidence and creativity. Mantis emphasizes not only the physical skills—spins, footwork, freezes, and transitions—but also the cultural roots of breaking. Students explore its history, discover the pioneers who shaped the dance, learn the names and origins of moves, and experience the importance of the cypher.
Expect an engaging, high-energy environment where you’ll jump, run, spin, and dance to funky breaks—while developing both your freestyle and your understanding of Hip Hop culture.
