Competition Team Program

For dancers who are ready to train at a higher level, perform with confidence, and prepare for dance competitions.

All Competition Teams train 3 times per week and combine street dance foundations, choreography, physical conditioning, musicality, performance training, flexibility, and basic acrobatics.

Description

The Mini Competition Team introduces young dancers to structured competitive training in a fun, supportive, and age-appropriate environment.

Students work on:

  • Hip-Hop and street dance foundations;

  • rhythm and musicality;

  • coordination and body awareness;

  • basic strength and conditioning;

  • flexibility and mobility;

  • choreography and memory;

  • formations, lines, and spacing;

  • synchronization and teamwork;

  • confidence and stage presence;

  • facial expressions and performance energy;

  • beginner freestyle and creative movement;

  • basic gymnastics and age-appropriate acrobatic elements.

 

At this age, the main goal is to build strong foundations, confidence, discipline, musicality, and a love for performing while preparing dancers for their first competition experiences.

Description

The Junior Competition Team is designed for dancers who are ready for more focused technical and performance training.

Students develop greater versatility, strength, musicality, and performance quality while learning to work as part of a competitive team.

Training includes:

  • foundations of Hip-Hop, Breakdance, Waacking, Locking, Popping, and House;

  • stronger body control and coordination;

  • full-body conditioning and endurance;

  • flexibility and mobility;

  • choreography retention and faster choreography pickup;

  • rhythm, musicality, accents, and dynamics;

  • formations, transitions, levels, and stage spacing;

  • synchronization and precision;

  • freestyle and improvisation;

  • performance quality and emotional expression;

  • confidence and stage presence;

  • teamwork, discipline, and responsibility;

  • basic gymnastics, acrobatics, and dance tricks.

 

The goal is to develop dancers who are strong, musical, versatile, confident, and prepared for both team choreography and competition performance.

Description

The Teen Competition Team offers more intensive training for dancers who are ready to take their performance and competitive skills to the next level.

The program focuses on developing versatile, strong, expressive, and independent performers.

Training includes:

  • deeper study of Hip-Hop and street/club dance foundations;

  • Hip-Hop, Breakdance, Waacking, Locking, Popping, and House vocabulary;

  • strength, endurance, core control, and physical conditioning;

  • flexibility and mobility;

  • isolations, body control, dynamics, and movement quality;

  • advanced musicality and rhythm training;

  • fast choreography pickup and retention;

  • formations, transitions, levels, and competition staging;

  • precision and synchronization;

  • freestyle and improvisation;

  • individual style and movement quality;

  • stage presence, confidence, and emotional expression;

  • performance under pressure;

  • teamwork, discipline, and leadership;

  • basic and progressive gymnastics, acrobatics, and Hip-Hop tricks.

 

Teen dancers are also encouraged to develop stronger artistic individuality and learn how to interpret music rather than simply perform choreography.
